COSAWOH: Acting for the Dignity and Well-being of Communities

Founded in 2017, the COOPERATION TO SAVE THE WORLD AND HUMANITY (COSAWOH) is a non-governmental organization active in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Its headquarters are located in Bukavu, at No. 317, Avenue Emery Patrice Lumumba, Nyalukemba District, Ibanda Commune, South Kivu Province. COSAWOH operates in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 004/2001 of July 20, 2001 governing non-profit associations in the DRC. The organization is firmly committed to supporting communities in promoting well-being, social justice, and environmental protection. In a context marked by numerous challenges, it deploys concrete and multisectoral actions to meet essential community needs and build a sustainable future. The protection of vulnerable populations lies at the heart of COSAWOH’s mission. In the face of humanitarian crises, violence, and inequalities, the organization implements targeted interventions to ensure security, justice, and respect for fundamental rights.

In accordance with Congolese laws, the organisation operates within an established legal framework and holds several official documents, including :

Statutes and internal regulations registered under notarial act No. 11.034.
Deposit certificate referenced N°JUST.112/DP-SKV/CA/8188/2024.
Minutes of favorable opinion (N°JUST/112/DP-SK/CA/270/2024).
Operating authorization (N°01/074/CAB/GOUPRO-SK/2025).
Official recognition from the Ministry of Justice (N°JUST/F92/58.714/SG/20/TL/813/2025).

The motto of COSAWOH is:
« Humanisme – Coopération – Protection » (French)
“Humanism – Cooperation – Protection” (English).
